The concept is inspired by manmade objects that has been left behind underwater. Over time, the environment adapt to these foreign objects by breaking them down and slowly transforming them into one with nature.

I was intrigued by the idea of how humankind have been so invasive to nature, particularly with the mysterious underwater world. Our constant spurt in technology gave rise to a consumerism culture that result in objects like boats, planes, vehicles, and war crafts that get left behind. Unable to biodegrade, these foreign objects found home underwater, and became a part of the flourishing organisms undersea.

 

Just as manmade objects underwater, my design is a collision between opposites, an unexpected collaboration of luxurious fur and activewear. Mixed media elements combines the brilliantly colored fur, soft leather, and glossy nylon materials of the rugged outdoors. The result is an eclectic collection of urban active streetwear that form an innovative approach to luxury.

 

COLLECTION

The collection boast a utilitarian focus, with functional elements and ergonomic pockets designed with versatility for everyday living. With a utilitarian influence that combine activewear and functionality, my collection is an innovative remix to traditional fur, creating one of a kind statement pieces for the modern day.

 

The menswear coat features a unique patterning of red fox and silver fox that has been dyed teal, combined with quilted nylon and teal leather trim details. Underneath the coat is a quilted nylon vest trimmed with red fox, that can be removed to create a 2 piece outerwear that can be worn interchangeably.

Removable zip at the body adds transeasonal versatility, allowing the coat to be worn multiple ways as suitable for different environments. Sophisticated shades of teals with complimentary orange is a nod to the striking beauty of undersea organisms.

An additional women active streetwear look feature red fox and teal silver fox over a cropped sweatshirt. Worn along with a matching activewear skirt.

Another look in the collection feature a blue iris mink fur coat with silver fox trims. It is worn over an activewear cropped top and jogger pants in tye dyed colors resembling the striking underwater nature.

The look is complete with a matching handbag with red fox and teal silver fox.
