VOGUE TALENTS & IFF INTERNATIONAL FUR REMIX
United States Winner 2012
In January 2012, I was chosen to represent the United States in the International Fur Remix Competition, sponsored by the International Fur Trade Federation. The Fur Information Council of America had chosen me to represent the US among 22 countries worldwide. I was paired with the Dennis Basso production team to help manufacture my design. It was a grueling process as I was allowed a very limited amount of time to prepare my design to be sent to New York for production.

I was then chosen among the top finalists worldwide and was asked to send my entry to Milan to be featured in the MiFur International Fur and Leather Exhibition during Milan Fashion Week in March 2012. My design later traveled to Montreal, Canada and was featured in the NAFFEM Luxury Outerwear exhibition.

The coat was designed with blue iris mink, silver pearl fox, and leather, which were provided by the North American Fur Auction (NAFA), one of the world’s most renowned fur producers.

STUDIO NAFA TRAINING PROGRAM

In July 2012, I was personally invited by NAFA to visit the company’s head quarter in Toronto, Canada. For one week, I met with the executives of NAFA and received hands on training on working with luxury fur.
